Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armors trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons. They can be used to add an additional bonus or effect while the equipment in use. They can be purchased from vendors or players looted, or gotten as rewards, or created using crafting materials.  item upgrade  can have cosmetic effects in addition to giving bonus attributes.

Upgrade components can include inscriptions, enhancements and infusions. They are not generally accessible for general use, and can only be applied to ascending equipment or certain non-ascended weapons from the Factions campaign. Infusions, inscriptions, and enrichments can be recovered from equipment using an Infusion Extraction Device, or salvaged using a Blacklion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.

Unlike other upgrade items Phoenix Boxes, unlike other upgrade items, can be traded even while still attached to the item that they are upgrading, and they can be re-used after being salvaged. These upgrade items can be used to boost weapon and armor quality, without spending Dilithium. They can increase the chance that the item will be upgraded to a top quality upgrade.

An upgrade component placed in an item may be replaced by another however, it will destroy the original one (except for upgrades to legendaries and equipment that has been ascended). Upgrade components can only be added to upgraded items with an identification level of zero or more. The addition of an upgrade to an item that is already equipped with a prefix or suffix upgrade will display the name of the new item as it would appear in the game (for example adding a Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be named Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can only have three upgrade items at once.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be a valuable addition to any item, because they offer numerous unique benefits and boosts. Certain glyphs can increase the number of affixes that can be placed on an item, thereby increasing its overall power. These glyphs can be found through the dungeons and some even drop in certain World Tier 3 areas. It is important to keep in mind that glyphs are only available to characters who have created a root-dungeon of the same level of depth.

To use a Glyph you must first create it using components and then connect them using anchors. Then the component will automatically align itself to other components and paths in the same layer. If you don't wish to create the glyph using components, you can use an array of paths and anchors. Drag an element near a component highlighted to snap it into the right spot.

Certain glyphs have requirements to fulfill, for example having a minimum of 25 Dexterity in a particular area on the Paragon Board. Some also require a certain number of Primary Stat nodes to be activated which is sometimes difficult to attain. Certain glyphs also have a radius that increases as you move it up.

Glyphs can be applied to various items and weapons, except for those belonging to a particular class. Some of these glyphs require conditions for instance, having a certain amount of damage from Dexterity or Attack in a specific area on the Paragon board.

The Defend Glyph gives you an 5% chance to block enemy attacks. It also has a 15% chance to make the Hero vulnerable for 2 turns.

Some glyphs can also be applied to restricted use tools, such as the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. These glyphs contribute to the Combat Mechanic Achievement.

The most common glyphs in the game are the attack ones which boost Artifacts' ATK substats by a fixed value. These glyphs are particularly useful for classes that employ ranged weapons, such as Warriors or Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph, which makes enemies who hit the Hero susceptible to damage.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens can be used to reroll results that are rolled during an Action. When the reroll happens, they are thrown away. Reroll tokens are available in a variety of ways, including raids and dungeons, or through participating in skirmishes. You can also purchase them in the store or from other players. They are especially useful in dungeons and trials because they allow players to play a reroll of rewards from the chest at the end.

For items in the range of 1 there are values for recycling points. The upgrade gauge will increase by a certain number of points each time you recycle an item. This number will increase based on the item's level and rarity. The upgraded item will not retain its level if recycled, and the cost for recycling an upgraded item increases as its level rises.

Another option is to make use of reroll tokens to roll an upgrade item again however this will not bring the item back to its original state or provide its original extra statistics. This is a great option for players who wish to reroll an item that they don't love but still want to keep it in their collection.

There are three different types of upgrade tokens available in the game: reroll, random, and upgrade. Each type comes with a couple of subtypes. Reroll tokens, for example, come in three levels that are rare, legendary and enhanced. Each requires an item of the respective level to produce an item of that quality.

To use tokens that reroll choose "Reroll Token" by right-clicking the Satanic or Angelic items in your inventory. Select a type of token. The available tokens are Item, Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns and Focus. Utilizing an Item token will result in an entirely new Item of any type. A Weapon or Misc token produces a new weapon belonging to the same faction.

The item can be upgraded to a new item with the same stats but is at a higher level. This will occur when the item is in the Non-droppable Pool or has been transferred to it as part of the Franchise Card.
